What is in first place.

Acts 8:20
But Peter told him, ‘May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!’

Ecclesiastes 5:10
The one who loves silver is never satisfied with silver, and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with income. This too is futile.

Proverbs 11:4
Wealth is not profitable on a day of wrath,
but righteousness rescues from death.

Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Mark 12:41-44
Sitting across from the temple treasury, he watched how the crowd dropped money into the treasury. Many rich people were putting in large sums. Then a poor widow came and dropped in two tiny coins worth very little. Summoning his disciples, he said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. For they all gave out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had — all she had to live on.’

1 Timothy 6:7-10
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. But those who want to be rich fall into temptation, a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
