Rocks are on their way!
It was such a beautiful fall day yesterday – Sunday, October 15th, 2023.
I reflected on every fall, every October, every crispy,brown and yellow leaf, the pine needles whipped up in the wind. invigorating every fiber of my being with its fragrance – Incense to my soul. I call it God’s Perfume when the sunshine hits it and releases its sweet,sweet scent. Absolutely like no other.
I am thankful for what I remember. What I focus on when I focus on God.
I’ve had a pretty severe case of COVID recently. It’s ravaged every sense. I’ve fought despondency -I can’t smell, breathe or taste very well. The stairs are a huge feat as I Huff and puff my way through tasks and work. My stomach is nauseous, my bones ache, my back is broken, my hair is ugly, on and on. I definitely can keep going.
Instead, Ill praise God that I see him. I see his amazing creation and I remember the promise that I have now and for eternity. My body feels like it’s giving out, my spirit fights tenaciously, but can get weary, my will to live for God’s glory in healing others, travailing with the wounded has only increased in my societal absence and given space for the Holy Spirit to move mountains of doubt, hypocrisy, double- minded ness, preferring cotton candy,( preferring self interest) gross as it is, I can continue – we all can.
Righteousness is the pursuit of my heart. A clean and fresh witness to God’s way of correction and resilient teaching. He is a stalwart leader.
He’s led me out of a path windy and full of trip hazards, to steadily moving in love and devotion; reaping rewards that, bless the safety and righteousness of others.
I care that what I’ve given my heart to, what I’ve supported and believed in for the furthering of the gospel of Jesus Christ find its fertile ground.
